I remember that a guy at RedHat took great care to keep XFS on alpha
in sync. The only other journaling FS I tried besides ext3 was JFS
(about two years ago) and it was a great failure. Even the developers
at IBM at that time did not have a clue. I never tried it since, but I
can maybe install it on a space lvm this weekend (no promises,
though).
