Comments/Problems:
If i write the root.img on disk and compare the disk with the image I get an
error, but the disk is ok:
dd if=root.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1024 conv=sync ; sync ; cmp /dev/fd0 root.img
1378+1 records in
1379+0 records out
cmp: EOF on root.img
When prompted for proxy setup I mistyped "http:" with "httpÖ" (german
O-umlaut), caused I was used to an english keyboard laylout from earlier d-i
versions. Typing "httpÖ" causes the installer to freeze, where I rebooted.
The link from /boot/vmlinux-2.4.25-powerpc to /boot/vmlinux was correct today,
but I didn't get asked whether I would like to install quik. Instead the
"normal" screen appeared: "no bootloader installed
either you decided that you don't want a bootloader or there is no one". I
thought Colin has comitted a quik-installer ?
After executing the "normal" steps to make the system bootable from
hard-discs:
nvsetenv boot-device ata/ata-disk@0:0
nvsetenv boot-file "/boot/vmlinux"
nvsetenv output-device screen
nvsetenv input-device kbd
quikconfig
quik
the system booted ok and the installation finished.

Holger
