yaboot-installer relies on having the kernel environment available to it
so that it can set video=ofonly in the installed system if it was needed
to boot d-i. If this is implemented, it would be very helpful if the
variables were made available somewhere else, and preferably for there
to be a grace period where they're available in both places.
