Package: netcfg Severity: wishlist Sometimes I wish to remove a template from my master templates file because it is no longer used or currently has no purpose. If I reconsider and add it back, this is no problem if the template is not translated at all. However, especially in the case of d-i, I do not want to lose the myriad translations that have been made to a given template, yet it is important to not have excess unused templates in udebs where space is at a premium. Therefore a method of marking templates as disabled or unused so that they are not included in the compiled templates file would allow one to save translations instead of having to delete them. This then saves space in the compiled deb. The flip side is that this probably would allow for a lot of bitrot to occur in source packages. -- Joshua Kwan
