Comments/Problems:

Very impressed. This was significantly easier than my last Debian install.

This was my first exposure to GRUB and I didn't get it quite right as I
don't seem to have an option to boot into Windows. I know how to fix that
with LILO but with GRUB it is not clear to me yet.

I pretty much installed the base system and then have been doing apt-get
installs since then. Yesterday I added x-window-system and it too went jaw
droppingly smoothly. Except that it killed my ability to play sound, which I
had to fix by chmodding /dev/dsp.

I love that my USB mouse and keyboard work right away even after plugging
and unplugging them. However I could not get my printer working, but I have
zero experience with printing under Linux. It is USB, I plugged it in after
the install, it knew it was a printer, but after installing cups and lpr and
other stuff I couldn't get anything to print so I gave up.

Oh and make it easier for people to review the installer. How about a simple
html form - it has taken me three, make that four attempts to get this in
the right format
for the system! It is people like me (never done a Debian bug report) whose
input you need the most!

Keep up the great work!

Mike McKay

thanks for your report. Note that in the daily builds of the installer,
grub will be set up to be able to boot other OSes on the machine.
