The strange LCD blanking thing sounds like it's caused by running in framebuffer mode. Booting with the framebuffer disabled would probably fix it. If this is the problem, you'll be able to reproduce it in the installed system at the console by loading vga16fb and starting the framebuffer. I've forwarded the block of apache-related stuff to the apache maintainers for their comments. It would be better to file a bug on mysql about its debconf abuse, can you do that? Also, on X for whatever the mouse problem was. -- see shy jo
