Comments/Problems:
Install base system:
Install proceedes until loading kernel 2.6.3-1-386 I have
chosen, then the menue complained an error because of the
installation of the pcmcia-modules and stops.
The virtual console 3 told:
E: Couldn't find package kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.6.3-1-386
Install boot loader:
Any further step e.g installing the grub bootloader denied
working and stepped back to install the base system until the error
is repeated and this leads to an interactive infinite loop.
As I have an IBM compatible PC with no PCMCIA nor cardbus this is
an unescessary module to be loaded. I don't understand why the
install procedure insists on doing so and I wonder why at all
because there is no such hardware to be found at my system.
Greetings,
Sascha Wuestemann
