Comments/Problems:

[1]:
After setting up the network (enter the host name), I got in the partitioning section, where I saw the following:

Partition table overview:

[blank space]

	Finish and write
	Automatically partition a drive
	Undo changes to partition
	Config the LVM

I could even select a line of the blank space with my cursor. I expected a partition table there, obviously. Since there was none, I thought the RAID controller was somehow not detected or at least the kernel module was not loaded. I rebooted with a Knoppix cd to find out that the kernel module that fits the controller is 'aacraid'. Rebooted again with the d-i cd, and went to the console with CTRL-ALT-F2 in the partition menu to load the aacraid driver ("modprobe aacraid"). This didn't help. Rebooted, and did the same during the network-config menu. This did the trick: apparently the partition menu doesn't 'refresh' for the new situation. After this, installation went on as expected.

One minor thing: the graphics card was not detected. The xfree86 dialog suggested 'vesa'. I changed it to 'mga', which worked, but it set a resolution of only 800x600, while 1280x1024 would have been ideal.

Another minor thing: maybe it should install an SMP kernel if more than one CPU is detected.

All in all: the installer definately needs improvement for the case of a non-detected disk controller. Maybe the cause was that there is also an ATA controller onboard.

On the other hand: I'm impressed with the d-i as it is now! Keep up the good work, people!

Kind regards,
