For info, those are netboot initrd of the corresponding d-i snapshot
(2004.03.15 is mostly beta3), builtin into a chrp kernel.

Ingo, did you look into the documentation described at : 

  http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/

Go to the two links in the first paragraph of the Beta 3 section.

No problem, but make sure you thank all the other folk which made d-i
possible too, i was only involved in a small part of it myself.
