Comments/Problems:
One small enhancement: Make floppy detection silent
(or less invasive)
I don't have a floppy drive on my system and the
installer probed and produced an error 'modprobe -u
floppy' three times throughout the first part of the
install. The installer should realize I don't have a
floppy drive and stop any further probing for that
device. Just a small annoyance that could easily be
smoothed over.
Install was very smooth. I especially liked the
option not to probe my monitor using DDC because the
Fedora Core 1 and Suse installers both probed and
crashed my computer at monitor detection (and FC1
would still probe even if I passed noprobe and
noddc!). Fedora and SUSE also choked on usb
autodetection (SUSE says the KV7 has a buggy BIOS).
Debian-install is the only installer I've found that
doesn't choke on my hardware so far. Great job!
