Package: debian-installer
Version: N/A; reported 2004-02-08
Severity: normal

In the default debconf priority, the installer eagerly graps a DHCP lease
without asking the user. If the user is not happy with this and wants to
go back and manually configure the network, then network re-configuration
silently fails.

My guess: this may come from a surviving DHCP client.

OK, then I'll close this bug. Thanks.
