Comments/Problems:

Everything goes fine until the 'create file systems' step.  Then, the 
machine fails to display the partitions I just created, and displays a 
list of garbage instead.  Selecting items in the list takes me back to 
the main menu.  An example of the garbage displayed appears below. 
selecting the 'automatically partition and mount hard drives' choice 
works but the choices it makes are obviously not always optimal.
