Comments/Problems:

The 'make TYPE=cdrom cd_image' worked only when I changed these files:

config/arch/linux-powerpc: KERNEL_FLAVOUR=di
make/arch/linux-powerpc:
changed
  > $(CD_IMAGE_TREE)/install/powermac
in
  > $(CD_IMAGE_TREE)/install/powermac/boot.msg

then I burned the CD and booted the machine.

The yaboot prompt appeared and I typed 'install DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium'
at the prompt, then pressed enter.

After the normal hardware recognition by the kernel the system did not
start correctly init, giving this error message:

Freeing unused kernel memory: 184k init 4k chrp 36k prep
Warning: unable to open an initial console.
Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!

Since this bug is rather old, and we shipped powerpc in beta 2 in the
meantime, I assume it was fixed. If not, please reopen..
