Thans for working that out, I've applied it to cvs, but the upload will
wait until after some stuff for powerpc subarches and beta2.

Hmm, wonder why you're the first person to notice that!

Looks like this would also allow the i386 xfs kernel to look like this
in kernel-versions:

i386	2.4.22	xfs	...

And use the modules/i386-xfs directory. Steve?
