You can get the beta-1, which is currently the most stable d-i version
on :
http://www.mmweg.rwth-aachen.de/~sebastian.ley/d-i/ (i386) or
http://www.soziologie.ch/~steinlin/d-i/powerpc/ (powerpc)
The 11-22 version is indeed more broken than beta-1....
