Prompts such as this waste time:
I will now configure the network.
This may take some time.  It shouldn't take more than a minute or two.

installer[59]: running cmd '/sbin/ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1'
installer[59]: running cmd '/sbin/modprobe af_packet'
installer[59]: running cmd '/sbin/pump -i eth0'

I spent more time reading the message than the installer took performing
the action. Please, just get on with it.

Note too, that eliminating these misfeatures speeds up the install
process, and makes the installer smaller.
