Bug#220484: speedtouch: Provide a udeb for debian-installer
Package: speedtouch
Severity: wishlist
WIBNI one could install Debian via an USB ADSL connection?
To achieve this, the user-space tools required to run ppp correctly must be
provided in a .udeb package. Additionally, it will be necessary to create
a main-menu entry to load the firmware file from a vfat floppy and execute
modem_run.
This is obviously not high priority, since in most situations, one probably
already has a NATing router box and can install via LAN. I have access
to all the hardware required to test this, but I am currently lacking
free time for this project. I might have a look at this later on, but for now,
I'd rather see the idea recorded and maybe picked up by someone in the
meantime.
