Package: install
Version: 8-Oct-03 download netinstall img (not installed)
Severity: normal

I am attempting to point netinstall to my apt-proxy. I've gotten help from
Chris Halls about what I should type, but his instructions didn't work.
I tried plausible modifications of his instructions, also didn't work.
I went back and tried United States, ftp.us.debian.org and it started
downloading. This proves to me that at least some of my setup is ok.
But then I tried 'enter information manually' again and, this time, entered
http://ftp.us.debian.org/
I got the same error message from anna that I had been getting in all
my attempts to access my apt-proxy:

wget: http: Unknown host

Of course, I really don't want to access ftp.us.debian.org directly. I just
tried it to diagnose where the problem resides.

It is easy for me to reproduce the effect, so I can post answers to detailed
questions.

Not really fixed. There was nothing wrong but my understanding.
