Enclosed is a small patch dealing with asprintf returning with an
error. This is similar to the patch I submitted to deal with #190937
for the same issue in anna. Similar problems apply. If asprintf returns
an error, the function just returns an error, rather than trying to
salvage the situation. Please let me know if there are errors in this
patch.
