d-i and DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive

I found Joey's daily d-i builds;-)

I actually spent quite a bit of tine looking for something like it on
the website, and failed.

I didn't see anything specifically for diskless installs, so I burned a
CD-RW using the cdrom-2880.img file, but then discovered my test machine
won't boot the CD-RW.

Lacking better information, I setup my network boot to use vmlinuz
and net-initrd.gz.

btw It seems to me these daily builds aren't very daily:-\
-rw-rw-r-- 1 summer 1474560 Nov 8 06:23 cdrom144-1440.img
-rw-rw-r-- 1 summer 747753 Nov 8 06:23 cdrom144-initrd.gz
-rw-rw-r-- 1 summer 2949120 Mar 14 20:13 cdrom-2880.img
-rw-rw-r-- 1 summer 1815642 Nov 8 06:20 cdrom-initrd.gz
-rw-rw-r-- 1 summer 1474560 Nov 8 06:26 net-1440.img
-rw-rw-r-- 1 summer 759793 Nov 8 06:26 net-initrd.gz
-rw-rw-r-- 1 summer 669626 Nov 8 06:27 vmlinuz

Once I got to the menu, I tried to configure my network using DHPC. It
then looped with lots of messages about
Network Hardware Configuration
postinst exited with status 256
kmod: failed to exec sbin/modprobe -s -k eth0, errno = 2.

The network module I need is present, and when I "modprobe eepro100" it
loads.

Having done that, I find myself in static network configuration.
.
I typed a bunch of values, and all it does is loop over the questions.

It would, I think, be a good thing for d-i to parse "ip=" if present.
