I'm sorry I can't reproduce this bug because I can't get
debian-installer to install the system to the point where I can reboot
anymore (see various bugreports). It is very well possible that the one
time it worked I was still using the older version of netcfg.

It was fun doing some testing on d-i for a week (You're doing a great
job guys), but I wanted my new system up and running and installed woody
and did 'apt-get dist-upgrade'. I'm now working to get all exotic
hardware on my system to work (raid, weird on-board nic, 3d-videocard,
firewire, compact flash reader, on-board audio).

If you can give me some directions how to the test d-i without screwing
up an already existing install, (Plus: I don't have a floppy drive so I
think I have to do something special to not screw up the mbr and such in
the install process) I'm willing to give the installer another spin in a
few weeks.

grts Tim
