Bug#155479: gdm.conf installation default is wrong

Package: install

The default installation of stable Woody, with Gnome,
sets up /etc/gdm/gdm.conf so that it contains:

command=/usr/bin/X11/X -deferglyphs 16 -nolisten tcp

The -nolisten means the X server does not respond
to requests from other machines. I'm sorry to be so
blunt but this is REALLY, REALLY STUPID. It's
already difficult enough to get GNU/Linux
networking working, without adding this new
roadblock in the way. There is already enough
security with the traditional xhost mechanism,
this doesn't add much.

I've had years of experience with X and it took
me 3 hours to find out why my other machines
couldn't use my X server ... I posted a message
to the debian-users mailing list, and nobody
there identified the problem, so it's not just
me. Setting "-nolisten tcp" by default is a
SERIOUS INSTALLATION BUG which should be fixed
immediately.
