I'm using a standard PS/2 keyboard, and it works fine in the BIOS, in Windows, and even in the first Debian screen where you can type in special installation parameters. But, as soon as I hit Enter to begin installation, and as soon as the kernel starts to load, my keyboard goes out on me.

Bugs are not the same as hammers or whips, they're just a way of keeping track
of stuff that doesn't work right. Please take the time to file one, that's
how our system works.

However ... also note that the potato distribution you're trying to install
is not being worked on anymore. Your best option might be to simply download
a woody iso and give that a shot.

I've looked on the Internet, seen numerous other posts in regards to this specific motherboard, as well as a few on the A7M266-D, but have seen nothing in terms of ways to fix this problem. Another thing to note is that I can install Mandrake 7 on my system without any problems - I think maybe the boot kernel is out of date and doesn't support my board...?

Cool. Again, there's no reason to think of a bug as 'threatening'.

Let me just mention that 300-character lines do bother some people, depending
on their mail reader. It's best to break lines every 72 chars or so.
