Hi,
I've just the latest console-data package to the archive, which has the
first set of udebs for the new installer.
They are:
console-keymaps-{acorn,atari,amiga,ps2,sun}
console-fonts
and, coming soon,
console-keymaps-usb
These will be used by the keyboard installer. They contain the minimum
necessary keymaps and fonts for the installer, broken down by arch.
ps2 is the PS/2 Keyboard, used by i386 and others.
(The idea is that eg. i386 installers would include
console-keymaps-usb
console-keymaps-i386
console-fonts, etc)
I am writing a keyboard-installer, to be added to CVS later
(basically loadkeys, optimised for cdebconf, low overhead).
Any comments?
One question:
Is the installer kernel likely to have USB installed, and discover take
advantage of it?
I would like to select USB keyboards automatically when Priority=High,
, and am investigating what this will take.
