How to properly install woody while not being released

Hi

I did do the steps you've told me, and I've been reading some days after your
replies on debian-powerpc, which goes like this:

right after configuring the apt sources and before running tasksel:

Change 'stable' in sources.list to 'woody'
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

This seems to be fine, though it did not work. When I run tasksel afterwards
(be it right during base-install or manually by >tasksel), it presents me with
a task list valid for potato. If I choose e.g. x window core components it will
result in an error, telling me that the content seems to obsolete or removed.

What I had to do after issuing the commands above and before running tasksel:

run dselect
choose [U[pdate

Afterwards, tasksel presents me with tasks valid for woody, and the download
works flawlessly.

What are you thinking about that? Correct?

best wishes,
Andi
