I tried to boot a 3.0.18 boot-floppy, written on a different physical
disk. I also tried 3.0.22 on a different physical disk.
I even tried RH72 again, on a different floppy. All fail in the same way.
As I mentioned in the original report I was able to boot linux via
'boot.bat' which uses loadlin. I chose the 'vanilla' option,
loadlin.exe linux root=/dev/ram ro initrd=root.bin ramdisk_size=16384 \
disksize=1.44
Unfortunately I don't have the facility to try this method again,
I installed freebsd and deployed it (as an xterm). I'm happy to try
more boots from later boot-floppy versions however.
Thanks for your interest
