Problem report attached as Dbg_log.tgz

When attempting a woody install using boot floppies on a clean system
(multiple systems, details follow) the install fails during the base system
install with and error of
'Can't download PPOECONF'

This error has been recreated on 2 separate systems, while using a CD
(unofficial woody 02/07/02) or a network (internet from debian.org) install.
Both systems are booting from actual floppies, 1.44MB images either idepci
of bf4 (haven't tried any others) downloaded from
    /debian/dists/woody/main/disks-i386/3.0.21-2002-03-19/images-1.44/idepci

Installs used basic defaults (English-US, QWERTY KB, DHCP configured
network, PCMCIA defaults (on the laptop), nothing special, no extra
modules, disks partitioned as one large / and a swap)

IIRC it failed on the laptop before I even tried to get the network running
(loading PCMCIA drivers. I then tried loading the PCMCIA drivers and
getting the network up (successful) and tried a network install. Still
'Can't D/L PPPOECONF'
I tried both idepci and bf4 on the laptop, both failed when trying to
install from the CD, and idepci fails on a network install (didn't get the
network up with bf4).
I only tried the idepci on the P90 desktop, same failure.

Blame your CD distributor for providing broken untested images. It will
work from network.

There is an uptodate basedebs.tar fiel. Download to your harddisk and
give this as installation source and NOT the CD-ROM.

Gruss/Regards,
Eduard.
