Just a note to say that you are not the only one with this. I have exactly the same problem with the split screen. Only difference is that I have a 15in monitor (Apple 15AV)I also have to tell BootX that there is no Video Driver (because when I do, all I get is a blue and black screen).
Install is Woody PowerMac 3.0.19 2002-02-09
