i fixed the problem where the quik.conf that was generated was broken
(pointing image= at a symlink).  but i have not and will not backport
the nvram changing code, the ofpath in potato is far too broken, and
drow has made it abundently clear that backporting a newer yaboot to
potato is not going to happen (i seriously doubt the release manager
would allow it anyway). 

i also fixed the potato make bootable step to refuse to run on
newworlds.  

beyond these changes thats all thats going to change on potato
boot-floppies.
