Package: boot-floppies
Version: 3.0.14

I am trying to install a machine that requires a 2.4 kernel
in order to boot, but trying to use a 2.4 kernel (I've tried
with several 2.4 versions and configurations) following the
instructions found in the README file produces a kernel
panic after inserting the root floppy and pressing ENTER.

I've tried with different versions of the kernel 2.4 (2.4.2,
2.4.7 and 2.4.10) on different machines, and several
floppies.

I wonder if the information given in the README file of
rescue.bin has to be modified to include support for 2.4
kernels :-?

Thanks and keep on the good work.

As you can see below, boot-floppies doesn't appeal to be culpable, the
submitter suggests it can be closed.

Well, rdev.sh looks for "linux" on the $PWD, so I guess
/floppy works as well.

I tried with this configuration but it paniced... After trying with
other kernel versions (2.4.9 and 2.4.10-ac10 worked) I suspect
this is a kernel issue.

I suggest you to close this bug, as it seems that it's not
boot-floppies' fault.

BTW, thanks very much for your help :-)

Regards.
