And indeed, with the syslinux in potato, it does work. I've submitted a
grave bug report against syslinux.
Now I get those messages from the kernel :
| Warning: Unable to open an initial console
| kmod : runaway modprobe loop stopped
| kernel panic: attempted to kill init
But that's another story and I haven't investigated yet. :)
