I just tried them on my Centris 650. It did not work, unfortunately:
- I couldn't get FTP to work. This is important in Belgium, since no
Belgian HTTP mirror exists, thus FTP mirrors are *very* fast compared to
HTTP mirrors in other countries. (one good example is
ftp.linkline.be; it's the only mirror that can serve me >400kB/s)
When I try to use an FTP-style URL, I get a dialog titled "Unknown
Protocol", with the letters "Un" (nothing more) in it.
- When using HTTP as a protocol, debootstrap starts to download Release &
Packages-files. Then it wants to mount /proc, but fails to do so
properly. A warning is issued:
"Failure trying to run: mount -t proc proc /proc"
Going to tty2 (shell), issuing "mount", I see that /proc is
mounted. However, tty4 (dmesg) shows the following error:
"chroot: cannot execute mount: No such file or directory"
So I presume the error comes from the chroot. Back to tty2, "cd /target; ls"
produces:
boot lib root tmp var
etc lost+found sbin usr vmlinuz
No sight of /bin, so certainly no /bin/mount. This shouldn't happen.
Back to tty1 (since this is a warning, not an error), I press Enter (thus
choosing "Continue", the only possible option), and get a message box
titled "An error occured", saying
"debootstrap exited with an error (return value 1)"
So the warning is still an error after all...

At least the hqx of Penguin itself works (but I hate MacOS's resource
fork ;-). I didn't try the other ones (yet), but Penguin itself is IMHO
the most important one; configuring Penguin is quite straightforward.
