  - an UTF8 locale if you want to enable language chooser

I don't think we can avoid it. reduce-font needs to run in a UTF-8 locale,
at least that's what Michael said.

Well, reduce-font succeeded. But I have never seen that bdftobogl
error... Could it be that you ran out of disk space?
