Package: tftpboot image for sun4cdm
Version: 3.0.9-2001-08-11
Severity: important

The bug in this description may be unrelated to said package, and related to
the woody installation process in general.

I used the TFTPD boot image to netboot a sun sparcstation 5, and correctly
started the installer. The selection of the kbd layout and getting the
device driver modules (via NFS) works fine.

I then went along to install the base system (via the network -retrieve form
network option). I selected testing (the woody distribution), and when asked
for server, chose http://http.us.debian.org/debian (my local mirror
sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch/mirror/debian, also via http gave the same error). I
did not use a proxy.

The system then goes on, and errors with
"Failed getting Release file
http://http.us.debian.org:80/debian/dists/woody/Release";

I belive this problem has been fixed. I do installs of base over the
network all the time. Of course, I'm not using SPARC/TFTP generally,
but the situation shouldn't differ that much in other respects.

You might want to retry with boot-floppies 3.0.15 when that is
available for sparc. If you find you still have problems, we'll be
happy to reopen this bug.
