now wget handles net fetching for us. Once wget get's the nifty status bar
turned on (#115717) we'll have nifty status too. This also gives
us ftp fetch support.
remove nf_progress_open(), nf_progress_update(), nf_finalize(),
and nf_progress_close(). the nf_transports abstraction has been largely
gutted, we weren't using it anyway. Remove some cruft now that debootstrap
installs base.
