It's your decission. I did not use msdos for years, except of using
syslinux.
BTW: I complained already a while ago, IIRC in the Potato Freeze.
Is there a reason for not including the ide-scsi into your kernels?
grep DEV_IDESCSI *
compact:# CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDESCSI is not set
ide:CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDESCSI=m
idepci:# CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDESCSI is not set
FYI: It is the module needed to make an ATAPI CD recorder work.
Particularly, three modules are needed: ide-scsi, sg and scsi-cdrom
support:
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDESCSI=m
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SR=m
CONFIG_CHR_DEV_SG=m
Gruss/Regards,
Eduard.
