Hi everyone!
I am trying to install Linux in my computer but I
don't know why doesn't work. Firstly I installed Mandrake 8.0, everything was
fine but when the machine reboots the computer gets stuck in Loading
linux......
I thought it was a Mandrake problem so I decided to
install Debian, the most stable distribution of Linux . I boot up from the
CD and I get directly the same error,
Loading linux..... and the computer
hangs!
My machine is a k7 600 with PCI Banshee and the
mohter board is a Soltek SL-77KV with the problematic chitset VIA KX133. I think
is something that I have to disable in the BIOS but I don't know what. Please
some suggestions???
Redhat 6.1 runs without any problem but I get
the same problem sometimes when I compile a kernel.
Thank you very much in advance and sorry for my
english.... I am spanish ;)
