Yes, I noticed that, but for all four the package _name_ is
kernel-image-2.2.19-alpha. "generic_2.2.19-1",
"nautilus_2.2.19-1", "jensen_2.2.19-1" and "smp_2.2.19-1" are
only versions. (At least as apt and dpkg are concerned.)

Probably because the way that packages were obtained before the
build was changed and nobody made sure that it works for Alpha.
Or maybe the packages were named differently before?

No, i386 for example has:

kernel-image-2.2.19
kernel-image-2.2.19-compact
kernel-image-2.2.19-ide
kernel-image-2.2.19-idepci

But the case is even simpler for Alpha. The scripts will just
have to be modified to look for kernel-image-2.2.19-alpha
instead of kernel-image-2.2.19 on $arch == Alpha.

BTW: is the 'alpha' in package name necessary? alpha-arch
packages cannot be installed on other archs anyway...
