debian-cd

[Please Cc: me all replies, I'm suffering a mail system disaster.]

Hi,

I'm doing a Debian GNU/Linux running right off a Live! CDROM. The
project page is at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdlinux

It looks like reinventing the wheel of DemoLinux, but I cannot seem to
get DemoLinux up here. So I grabbed their linuxrc and started work on
my own. It now can boot to a shell for users. I'm adding other things
step by step. It also could do a hot test run on a CDROM image file
reside on your harddisk. I'm testing that way. I have no cd burner.

My plan is to build automatic building systems for this Live! CD. And
the live! CD should be generic enough. Most Debian developers would be
able to use that CD as a chroot environment to build packages. After a
while maybe we will develop some cp -a based install scripts, heh..

Any comments/suggestions/criticize are welcome! And if any of you're
interested, please join and help! ;)

Thanks,
