udpkg in busybox
I just merged udpkg into busybox (havent commited it yet though), i
havent changed the code except for removing some debugging stuff (i
should put that back in).
Building udpkg using make small its 11804 bytes.
The difference between busybox with udpkg and bb without udpkg is only
6304 bytes, which is a relatively big savings (hope i havent made a
mistake).
I will play around more and try and merge some busybox utilities in
there and hopefully save some more space.
Actually, i just tried it on my installed system and it destroyed a few
entries in my status file, i tried installing and removing a package,
then when i tried to run dselect i got this type of message.
dselect: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 10949
package `libmysqlclient9':
missing version
I just deleted the entries and its ok.... i will look deeper
