Well, i just tried the 2.2.18-ide kernel and detects the HPT370 chip as
well, so i guess we should look elsewhere for the casue of failure.

I remember about 6 months ago i did hear of problems with the HPT366 and
some samsung(i think) drives... apart from that i have no idea.
