Bug#71606: Debian on T1900 laptop.

Package: boot-floppies
Version: Debian
architecture: i386
model: Toshiba
memory: 4MB
scsi: None
cd-rom: None
network card: None
pcmcia: Xircom Creditcard Ethernet IIps

Ran install after downloading the IDEPCI distribution. Kernel unpacked &
booted OK, identified appropriate peripherals (in this case, the IDE
harddisk) but went into a panic with the following message

RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
Kernel panic: free list corrupted.

When removed the card, the kernel does not panic, but it ends up in an
endless loop (mentioning that it cannot free enough pages for the swapper)

Thanks in advance for your help,
Philippe Geyskens
