On a fresh install of Potato using boot disks made May 18 2000, the
loopback device was not configured. the file /etc/network/interfaces
was not created.
If it makes any difference, durring the configure modules stage of the
Debian install the network driver failed to load (my bad, I gave the
wrong io addr).
Is there a script to help create the /etc/network/interfaces file?
