Bug#62234: marked as done ([slink] Kernel Detects Harddrive Size incorrectly)

     model: Dual Celeron 400,
     memory: 128mb
      scsi:          None
     cd-rom:  Diamond Data 40x, ATAPI
     network card:  Generic, Realtek Chipset, Ne2000 compatable.
     pcmcia:    None
    Harddrive: IDE, Maxtor, 91360D6, 13500MB, 7200rpm

When booting from the CD, The kernel detects the harddrive as the correct
model #, but with an Incorrect capacity. (causing problems partitioning).
The Bios and dos FDISK get disk size correctly.

We believe that the bug you reported has been closed in the Potato
version of the boot-floppies.  We may not have received a response
from you so we are closing this bug.

Please let us know if you find that the bug still exists in the potato
version of the boot-floppies, and we can re-open your bug.

Note that there are some temporary but serious problems with those
floppies you should know about on i386:

 - installation of base from floppy probably not working
 - the compact flavor may not work
