Subject: i386, 4 MB RAM
Mime-Version: 1.0

Package: boot-floppies
Version: 2.1.9 1999-03-03

architecture: i386 (with i387 Math Co.)
memory: 4 MB

Although I used the lowmem version of the boot disk, I failed to install
Debian Linux. I put the bootdisk into drive a:, turned on the computer, and
just pressed <Return> at the boot prompt. After the messages

Ramdisk driver initialized: 16 ramdisk of 4096K size
loop: registered device at major 7

the computer doesn't work anymore and it must be restarted using the reset
buttom.

How can I install Linux on my i386?

Kind regards
