unresolved symbols in PCMCIA modules

I tried installing potato from the 2.2.12-2000-04-26 boot-floppies and
got lots of unresolved symbols in the PCMCIA kernel modules.

Reading the archives this has happened before and was apparently fixed
(over and over again). I suppose the current breakage is related to
the upgrade to kernel 2.2.15?

Does anybody have a set of working boot-floppies I can use to install
my machine? maybe some version of 2.2.11 or something?
