build on current CVS fails

Building from CVS fails:

./rescue.sh ""
/n/sw/debian/dists/potato/main/binary-i386/base/kernel-image-2.2.15_2.2.15pre19-1.deb
root.bin 1440 2.2 "" C
I: making loop filesystem in /tmp/fimgbQdVWG, size 1440k
1440+0 records in
1440+0 records out
I: formatting and conditioning the new image
I: mounting new disk image at /var/tmp/boot-floppies/mnt.rescue
I: installing kernel 'linux'
I: rescue image too small to include root.bin
I: copying help messages
recode: Ambiguous output in ISO-8859-1..IBM-PC
E: ./rescue.sh abort
make[1]: *** [resc1440.bin] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/nils/boot-floppies'
make: *** [build] Error 2

Reason: f8.txt and f9.txt contain <CR><LF> at line endings

If noone protests, I'm going to check in the fix

Nils

Plug-and-Play is really nice, unfortunately it only works 50% of the time.
To be specific the "Plug" almost always works. --unknown source
