Version: N/A
Severity: wishlist

Hi!

Last week, when I tried to install a new system, something went wrong
with the installation. When the system tried to unpack the device drivers,
unpacking failed and all error message I got was "installing device drivers
floppy failed". Surely the error could be described a little more accurate.
I still don't know if the file wasn't found, or a checksum failed while
reading, writing failed due to some obscure reasons.

This should be improved.

Greetings
Marc

We've made dbootstrap's error messages much more verbose. For the
most part, these are seen in syslog (on tty3).
