Package: bootdisk
Version: 20000211
Severity: important

When "German-Latin1-Nodeadkeys" is chosen during initial installation,
the keyboard is configured correctly during the installation and when one
logs in immediately after installation finished. After the first reboot,
however, one still gets a french azerty-keyboard which makes logging in
extremely difficult.

Reason: The installation writes the german keyboard table to /etc/kbd/
default.map.gz while the keyboard script expects it at
/etc/kbd/default.kmap.gz. Somehow, a french table is written to
default.kmap.gz.

Greetings
Marc

We believe the bug you reported has been fixed as of the Potato boot flopppies,
version 2.2.8. Please let us know if not.

Remember that often bugs are filed against boot-floppies, when the should
be filed against modconf, base-config, kernel-image-2.2.14, or other
related packages. Please do you best to track down which package is the
culprit when creating bugs.
