The patch I sent does not check "modules.old", it simply
ignores it and use rename(2) to "mv /lib/modules /lib/modules0".

It is better to integrate the codes in baseconfig.c and pcmcia.c 
which does symlinking of modules, to check the symlink is already
done or not, and if not do the required symlinking.
